I received this product a while ago at the Afro Hair & Beauty event in London back in May when the brand was giving out full size product and samples for free. I'm not going to lie to you, I haven't had much success with this product line in the past (check out my post Disappointing Hair Care & Styling Products) - so I was very anxious in trying this... However, don't look a gift horse in the mouth, right... right?
The Beautiful Texture Rapid Repairs boasts many benefits for 'Curly, Wavy, Kinky-Coily, Frizzy' hair, including; amazing manageability, intense moisture, increased elasticity and damage repair and prevention. It also claims to be enriched with Aloe Vera, Coconut, Olive, Soy and Argan Oil as well as Shea and Mango Butter. And for just around £3.99 for 425 grams - the Beautiful Textures Rapid Repair Deep Conditioner would be an absolute steal if it can deliver on even just half of these claims!
My first impression on the deep conditioner were on its strong but sweet scent and it quite thick consistency which I actually really liked. I applied the deep conditioner as directed by finger combing the products through parts of my hair - I found the slip quite good but on my first use it left my hair flaky. This could be just down to me not cleansing my hair thoroughly enough before though however it did put me off from trying this product again... for a while. Nevertheless, I did try it again, making sure that my hair cleansed really well and I didn't get the same flaky side effects.
My hair after using this deep conditioner; felt stronger but not too soft however some-what moisturised. And styling after using this product was a breeze - so thumbs up manageability and shine! However not too long after using my scalp became really irritated and itchy. I put it down to using this deep conditioner as it's the only product I changed in my wash routine. Needless to say I discontinued using this deep conditioner because flaky hair and itchy scalp aren't a good look. Although this product seems to have several natural ingredients something in this product does not agree with my scalp at all. I couldn't really recommend this product at all because of my bad experiences with it.
